    A deep retrofit and extension project to a two-storey home in Clapham, South London. The challenging brief to turn a 2-bed 1-bath property into a 3-bed 2-bath modern home required an ambitious approach to planning.

    The brief for this apartment full refurbishment required 2 bedrooms with ensuite facilities and an open plan kitchen, dining, living space that made the most of every square inch of the property’s modest footprint.

    A rich material palette of tiles (3D and 2D), concrete, timber and earthy colours create a textured, light-filled, modern architecture that re-orientates the home towards the garden.

    This end-of-terrace house sits on a triangular plot and had an unusual original layout. We were approached with a brief to make a modern family house which somehow connected better to the small constrained rear garden.

    A phased development with multiple stake holders, that utilised Permitted Development rights to convert office to residential use. High quality contemporary spaces were championed whilst value was maximised.
